Clay Block?

Has anyone used a clay block? Is CG the only ones who sell it?

I have the Pinnacle version, and never experimented with it. Would only experiment with it on a driver.

Hi Leo,
I hope that it has been doing quite well for you, but I haven't heard too much about it after the one review. That was the reason that I made that statement.

That "clay block" seems dangerous to me. The manufacturer in the Orient approached me with it a while back. I was a little afraid to use it because it seems to me that it retains debris and you can't fold it and use a clean area like clay. Sometimes it's not always best to reinvent the wheel so to speak. Although for all I know it's fine, I just never tried it. My Magic Cube is very mild and isn't meant to totally replace clay.

I was once told by a clay manufacturer in California that one particular type of modeling clay is absolutely no different than detailing clay except for some lubricant added. The manufacturing process is identical. I keep meaning to ask him for a sample of the clay he is taking about. Apparently it can sell for about 1/4 the price of detailing clay.

I am in complete agreement, there was another thread, about this product with a "rubbery" surface and I also felt that the contaminants would be left on the surface, where with clay they could be folded away from the cars surface. I guess GMTA

The website information states that you can wash it clean. That's something you really can't do with clay.

"Occasionally check CLAYBLOCK® for heavy contaminants that may be stuck onto bar, you may want to spray LUBER onto CLAYBLOCK® or rinse clayblock clean under water prior to every use or if dirty."
