    Lane Leather Smell

Today I got the Lane Leather Smell that I ordered.
I took the cap off and took a whiff and it had a slight leather smell but more of a chemical smell than leather.
I sprayed the carpet with it and closed all the windows. Several hours later I checked and the car has more of a chemical smell than leather.
Their is a slight leather smell but it is almost over powered by the other smell.
I thought I would post so that others can try something else to make your car seats smell like new because this stuff don`t do it.

    Thats not cool.

You should give chemicalguys a try. I use their leather scent air freshner. Best one i`ve used so far.

And you can get a gallon of concentrate for the price you paid for that small bottle.

Do you just use this on your customers cars or have you used it on your own car.
My reason for asking is do you have experience with how long it will last.
All this stuff claims to last and smell just like leather.
What I have don`t smell like leather and it only lasted about 24 hours and that was with the windows closed.
I want a product that will last for a while or I will just forget about this kind of a product.

I only use it on customers cars. I`m not sure how long it will last, all i can tell you is it smells awesome. But you got to remember, you`re dealing with a liquid air freshner. You`re lucky if you get a few days out of a few sprays. If you want something that lasts a week or more. Get a tub of wonder wafers or aroma-disks. Or a x-mas tree.

    Re: Lane Leather Smell

I remember someone mentioning awhile ago about Yankee candle leather scent. I have seen it in Bed,bath & beyond, and it did smell nice, but its up to each individuals taste.

Sadly for me no leather in my car

Thanks for the tip that sounds like it may be what I`m looking for. I would like to have something that I could lay under the seat and it would have a mild leather smell for a couple weeks like the air fresheners do.

It sure seems like I remember someone using actual leather scraps from a tack shop under their seats. It wouldn`t be too practical for customer`s cars, but it might work for your own.

i have used chemicals guys stuff there pinacalada and if you spray it in concentrated form (one spray) will last several weeks......i havent used the leather smell but was super happy with the pinacalada.......then you can play with the ratios to find something that is stronger or weaker, i mix up several different variations of strengths because some clients like softer smells and some like bold long lasting smells.....just mix it and find whats right for you and your clients
