I'm About to Give Up On Paste Wax

I have two tins of Nattys paste wax that that cracked into small pieces....when I get close to the bottom...there is still about a quarter of the wax left in the bottom...to me its quite frustrating to deal with it...I'm wondering if there is another wax on the market that doesn't do this...or should I go to liquid

The only time I have run into this problem is if I had accidently forgotten to plut the cover back on and it dried out. But as long as I have not done that I have not had any issues. I have not had that issue with Natty's although I am not close to the bottom. My Souveregn is fine and that is close to the bottom.

The only time it has happened to me is with the Meguirs paste waxes that came in the metal containers. And again that could have been from not sealing them back up tightly.

My Natty's Blue is just about over half gone and it is beginning to crack also. I have made sure that I keep the lid tight on it. I have a jar of Vicotria's Concours Wax that is quite a bit older and it is fine. I really like the ease of use and the results from the Natty's wax, however the cracking is frustrating.

The only waxi have had crack has been nattys blue, megs 16 looks like it might but it hasent yet.
I find nattys to be a hard wax while in the jar, going to somthing softer like sov., zymol, vw, ect should solve the problem.... and give you an excuse to buy somthing new

I have a container of paste wax from Pizazz wax that I got from Top of the Line that has not cracked and I still use...thing is that it doesn't give the shine that Nattys dose...

A double boiler can be your friend in this circumstance. You can heat the wax to it's melting point in its container, no further as its obviously in plastic. It will solidify into one cake again. If heating the plastic container bothers you scrape it out into a suitable container and then pour it back into its original container. I've done this several times to get several partially used containers into one. It works fine.

I did this on another can that I had and it cracked again...then when I used it, it would leave little chips on the foam pad

I remember my Natty's doing the same thing, and my jar of Souveran has a couple hairline cracks in it as well. Maybe it's just inevitable?

i usually seal my wax with a damp foam applicator, never have a problem. i must admit i want to get nattys blue because i have ablue car, i'll buy a can and let you know how the damp foam aplicator works out.

I just got Natty's for the first time (Blue for my Blue vehicle) and I use a damp applicator, as a matter of fact the instructions tell you to do so. Which I didn't read at first...and when I didn't I found it difficult to spread or even get any on the pad.

Since I dampened the applicator I have found it much easier.

if you add just a little water to that paste wax, and stir it around every now and then it will last longer go farther and you wont get those dry peel cracks in it.
i have my detailers do this once every couple months. i dont use nattys but paste wax is paste wax.

My Natty's Blue hasn't crumbled but my White has.
I just kept/keep using it .

When you use the double boiler does the wax seperate? Or does it solidify right back into the proper state? I want to do this as mine is cracking also (should have read the instructions )

no it just turns liquid and as soon as it does, pour it back in the jar and leave it alone, top off, for an hour or two
