    Black Label Coated Corvette

ONR, Ferrous Deuller Iron Remover, Sonax, Clay Sponge
Duetto w/Green Rupes Pad and Green Medium Gel (speed 6)
Rupes white pad (speed 4) with BL Surface Cleansing Polish
Black Label 850 Paint, Wheel, Glass coatings applied accordingly
all the other normal quality towels/brushes/ etc.

This vehicle was pretty marred. Sadly, he has a `guy` that comes and washes his vehicles- or at least that`s what he`s calling it. I had been trying to convince the owner to let me polish it ever since I ordered my duetto a while back. The yellow rupes pad/gel were not doing anything here, and sip 1500 didn`t seem to cut as much as the green pad/gel from rupes. This was the first time I used that combo on the duetto. I had a pretty bad dusting problem with the medium gel and green pad. It was lowered by using a spray of pad conditioner after each pass and brushing, but considering the job this stuff was doing I was okay with it.
To anyone who has tried the rupes green pad and gel combo, have you experienced this issue as well?
The surface cleansing polish via the duetto and the white finishing pad from rupes brought back the little bit of color that the green rupes gel took away while cutting (but I think that on a lighter colored vehicle the Rupes green pad/gel combo would have finished to lsp ready)
Aside from a TON of rids and the customer not wanting to pony up extra for a compound/polish before the coating prep (which probably would not have even came out short of wet sanding) I would say that this paint came out around 85% (of course he couldn`t see any of the scratches left but they were there still and I could see them)
anyways on with the pics...not many good before pics, I was on a time deadline and had to make this a two day project due to a busy schedule and fitting in this job last minute

Now on to the final shots, first couple are from the first day before I came back and finished up with the wheels and glass.

day two (coating already cured on paint)

coated the roll bars and everything painted that shows with the top down
the sun was friendly that day

    the end

    thanks for viewing
He now wants me to polish and coat his Venza and new IS 350. Apparently he can now see the difference in quality.

    Wow, looks awesome!

Yes, the Green Pad & Green Polish will dust on occassion, although this isn`t a bad thing, per say.

this vette definitely looks better with the top down

ever time i coat a vehicle with the black label it amazes me just how much more depth and gloss i get from putting on the surface cleansing polish before the coating

    good stuff
