Smile Cadillac CTS-V - Dream Detail

    Hello all,

As I was on a shortened schedule with this car (4 days) I didn`t have as much time to take a lot of photos. This was a 2 step correction using Scholl`s S3 Gold and the Spider Pads followed by POLISHANGEL Primer & then coated with Cosmic 9H.

    Before condition:

    After Primer before Cosmic:

50/50 with POLISHANGEL Palladium | Metal Polish. My new go-to metal polish. Super fast and easy results with a great fragrance.

    After Cosmic | 9H application:

Looks amazing! I know it depends on the car but how many cars do you think you could do with that POLISHANGEL? Also is that a Focus ST in the reflection? I wouldn`t mind seeing some pictures of that as well

    Thank you!

50ml of Cosmic & 100ml of Primer will get you 3-5 cars. You might be able to squeeze the 3-5 in 50ml of Primer if used by hand but because it performs so well as a one-step or final polish, I use it by machine.

The ST is mine, haven`t ever taken many pictures with it even though I`ve had it since December. I will be stripping off the old coatings & apply Color-Matched Cosmic in multiple layers. Probably will take a lot of pictures during that.

The color is Tangerine Scream or Electric Gold (europe)

Dont you currently have the Gtechniq on the ST? Any suggestions on applying it? I have C1, C5 and EXO V2 coming in tomorrow.

yes, removing that in favor of this

Apply Gtechniq in very small sections and make sure you get all of the residue. Take your time with looking for and removing the residue. Always look from multiple angles and even distances from the car to ensure all the residue is removed. I use two towels at a time for removal and toss them after every couple panels.

Ok thank you! This will be my first "coating" application. Its going on the mustang. After going back and forth between Opticoat, CQuartz, and Gtech, the hydrophobic properties of the EXO won me over! haha

EXOv2 is definitely the front runner for contact angle.

While it may not say so on the directions, I would wait at the very least 24 hours before getting it wet and at least a week before washing. If you can give it a few days before getting wet, that would be better.

And I read to wait 12 hours before topping C1, is that correct? Thanks for the tips! Luckily it isnt a daily driver or anything so no worries there!

np, & thank you, The Lexus has been the only color-matched Cosmic, the others (including this one) have been multi-color Cosmic. Though I do wonder how much blacker black could be with color-matched black Cosmic.
