    Complete Opel Corsa

    Complete Opel Corsa

    Welcome

In another very hot weekend (the temperature in the studio reached 37 degrees!) I worked with a few years old Opel Corsa on which paint was very badly damaged at not professional hand car washes. The first half of Saturday I spent at thorough cleaning and protection of the interior. In the afternoon, the car was thoroughly washed and prepared to improve the state of the paint. In the evening, I started work on the paint, which proved to be very difficult (for me) to work with. After a few hours of tests I found combination (two steps machine correction + one finishing touch by hand), which gave satisfactory results. On Sunday, the majority of the day continued to paint correction, which I finished at 18:00. Very little time left for protection and refine the details, so I had to hurry on tight which was very exhausting, combined with the heat . The first time I had to deal with such a difficult paint and I learned a lot during this weekend.

Cleaning and restoration of the interior:

    Cleaning the outside:

    Meguiar`s All Purpose Cleaner (1:4, 1:10)
Chemical Guys Bug Bugger and Tar Remover (as a shampoo)
    ShinyGarage Orange Tar&Glue Remover
CarPro IronX (distributed with a sponge throughout the car)
    Chemical Guys Clay block
Dodo Juice Born Slippy Concentrate (1:5 as clay lube)
Valet Pro Advanced Neutral Snow Foam (as pre-wash and after clay)
    Meguiar`s Glass Cleaner Concentrate (1:10)

    Polishing:

    CarPro Eraser
    IPA (1:2)
Meguiar`s DA Microfiber Correction Compound (D300)
    Meguiar`s DA Microfiber Cutting Discs
    Menzerna SF4000
Chemical Guys HexLogic black pads 5,5"
Flex XC 3401 VRG (cutting, speed 3.5, light pressure, 6-8 passes per section)
Rupes LHR15 (finishing, speed about 4, many passes, no pressure (it`s Big Foot))
Zaino Z-12 Clear View Glass Polish
Chemical Guys Metal Shine Extreme Polish & Protection

    Protection:

Chemical Guys Black Light & Hybrid V7 Optical Select High Gloss Spray Sealant (paint, by hand)
Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 (lights, windows, wheels)
Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel (plastics and rubber)
Meguiar`s High Gloss Tyre Gel (tires)

    Before:

Unfortunately I have only one video (and no pictures) showing how the car looks before. If it breaks the rules of this forum, please delete this topic.
