And now for something completely different....

My usual Showcase threads show off my skills at making paint look glossy with great reflections. Not this time. On this one, you didn`t want to make it shiny at all. Had to keep reminding myself of that.

Jason`s (MugelloM) friend`s car: a 3 week old 2013 AMG SL63 in Shadow Gray Matte Metallic.

    Products used:
    CG Meticulous Matte Auto Wash
    CG Meticulous Matte Detailer
Megs D114 (double strength) for jambs
    1Z Cockpit Premium
    Pinnacle Crystal Clear Glass Cleaner
    BF Total Eclipse Tire Shine

    Questions welcome. Thanks for viewing.

Oh so matte! It is definitely different. Is there any protection on the paint!

    Thanks DC.

No protection yet. Permanon Super Matte on the way.

Matte has never looked so good! Wow you`ve really outdone yourself here. Curious to see what it looks like after LSP.

I`m kind of in the same boat. It`s like when I talk to young guys about black wheels. I tell them I`m old enough that, when I see them, I think they`ve lost their hubcaps and are rockin` steelies.

It is a beautiful car but I couldn`t do the matte. (BTW - Jason AKA MugelloM tells me I got the color wrong. It isn`t the off the rack matte, it is a custom: "designo magno night black." I thought it looked darker than the pic on the website.) MB pretty much comes out and tells you it is really just for looking at. Driving it will not end well. Make a shiny spot - repaint.

Will probably go down as the only car that left here less glossy than when it arrived.

Unless I decide to specialize in the matte care.

    Nice job I think
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

Great job! You made it look very good. How hard was it to work with matte finishes?

Damn that car looks so good....

    Thanks Ron and Marc.

Not really harder but requires specialized products and a light touch. Again, make a shiny spot and only recourse is to repaint.
