Todd you say that you wiped then entire automobile down gently with Meguiar's M34 Final Inspection and a soft Cobra microfiber. Then you went to step 5 and applied the wax. Apparently you didn't have any bonding concerns going over the final finish?

No, M34 doesn't leave anything behind so no concerns!

I have been so busy this year that I havent had much time to spend on the site. But I'm sitting here wondering if I should believe my eyes. If i'm not mistaken I just read a write -up from Todd Helme that had him Finishing with a pad made of something other than foam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I have to go over this thread again. I must have missed a couple of pictures describing the final, final polish to see the gold or red pad somewhere.

Honestly Todd, you can finish with a MF pad?

Thanks todd I've never used Meguiar's M34 Final Inspection. So it can be used like an IPA wipe?

This is true. I finished the hard Audi paint with a MF finishing pad. I did try foam to compare but it made zero difference in the outcome and the MF was working much faster. How have you been?

Not really like IPA. I have seen it remove some oils before, but that is not the intended role. It is a super gentle product that is perfect for removing dust or smudges with out leaving anything behind (on the surface) that could interfere with polishing/waxing/sealing.

The 'behind-the-scene's' products used were BLACKFIRE All N One All Purpose Cleaner and BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Instant Carnauba Detailer.
