Over Spray Job - 03-12-2010, 11:14 PM

Nothing fancy. Got a call from a painter that works for a Home Builder I do business with. Said they were painting and over spray blew onto two of the neighbors' cars.
Only over spray removal and a very fast one step polish with D151.
Only pics of the Suburban. (none of the Intrepid)

Clayed for about 7 hours. It was on everything.

Afters:

No paint correction. Just ran the Flex over the truck with an orange pad and D151 to clean up the marring from the clay. Other than that, that's all I did. (The intrepid was the same color, finished it in about half the time)

Not all of the over spray came off the plastic. It was too be expected, and the client was informed and happy with the outcome.

What a mess. I do a lot of overspray removal jobs but I haven't seen any that bad. At least not on the entire vehical that thick. Good work.

did you use a trim resto product? I just noticed how nice the trim looks.

Damn, that job must have sucked. Claying for 7 hours straight is hardly my idea of fun!

NO fun at all for sure. I went through 3 full clay bars. Good thing about this job is I didn't really use any of my products besides clay and a bucket of soapy water. (and a little bit of D151) I pretty much only burned away time..... Total on the job time was about 9-9.5 hours. The only thing I used on the trim was a dressing from CarBrite. Applied with a MF towel, let set, and wipe off.
