I am a sucker for Black GM products. I liked the video. It does make it better when you realize that the person making it is someone that you know.
There was one bad thing....I believe that you were using a Flex were you not?
Now I am starting to get the purchase itch for one of those. Not good when detailing budget is overwhelmed. LOL!

If you are referring to the good looking chubby guy taking the video then that would be me. It must have been the angle and some distortion in the lens.

For the paint correction I clayed with FS Ultimate Clay then, buffed with Meguiar's 105, polished with Four Star Ultimate Final Polish and hand applied Ultima Paint Guard.

It is a good promo video for your biz. The results really speak for themselves in terms of selling your services and capabilities much better than the usual finished glamor shots.
I bet you will get a steady cam or something next to make those walking motions fluid.

If I get more serious about doing videos with steady cams and hi tech software, I would probably be doing that full time and the detailing would be the side job.
I'm doing the picture taking and videos now when the weathers nice.

Nah, I heard those moves were the latest dance craze 'round FL...the Armstrong shuffle. Sheila has been trying to get him out on the dance floor to perfect those moves.
On a more serious note, my hat is off to you guys who can take time out from work to snap photos much less video. I'm in a hurry to get started and then once I get going, I'm too sweaty and my hands are either sweaty from having gloves on, or they are covered in polish/wax/sealant residue.
Edit: I got so busy being a smart a$$, I forgot the original point in posting... The two pads you were using in the video...the first appeared to be blue and the second a gray (or grey). Was the blue the Cyan colored Hydro pad? If so, how was your experience?

Yes it was my first time using that pad. It worked well. Did what it says it does. Probably my new cutting pad of choice. Haven't used it enough to say for sure. All the color changing has this old dog not wanting to try new tricks but a less absorbant pad is a good thing (that didn't sound right ).
The gray (or black) pad was the kompressor 6" finishing pad. Nice pad too but it needs to be 6.5" for me to feel comfortable using it. Too much possibility of the backing plate coming in contact with the car in tight spots.
I'm scratching my head why they keep doing something dumb with the design of these pads. First it was the terrible velcro backing that was barely there. Now they make the pad smaller than the other comparable pads. I guess they don't want them to be used on FLEX machines.

Lake Country Pads
Lake Country buffing pads is at the top of their game! If you know anything about foam polishing pads, you’re no doubt familiar with this company. They’ve been designing and manufacturing polisher accessories since 1977 and we’d be willing to bet they know a thing or two about car care. In fact, we’re so confident in their expertise, Max enlisted their help to design pads for Palm Beach Motoring Accessories.

I'm right there with you on all of the colors. But I'm not following you on that pad statement.
JMO, but 6.5" pads stretch the abilities of a PC to the very edge of effectiveness and maybe the PC user crowd is a little larger than you Flex guys. Are there not smaller backing plates available for the Flex yet?

liked your video .great branding tool. Do you have this video linked on your web site ? If you don't you should put it on there.
I use some Lake Country pads but haven't used these hydro pads you guys talk about. I use a different method of applying my compound as I apply it to the surface first ,and pick up what I need as I go down the panel. I assume with these pads from what I read about them your applying the compound or polish directly to the pad ?
