2010 Camaro SS - Black and swirled! -

This is my friend's car. He's a cop, so I spit on it. OK that was a corny joke.
Anyways, he picked this car up last June and it's been in serious need of a detail. Lots of swirls, and what pissed me off the most was all the wax in the edges of his stripes. I ended up using Menzerna Super Intensive Polish via LC Tangerine Hydro-Techs, and they left such a nice finish that I was able to go straight to PO85RD with a gray finishing pad.
The worst part about this detail was the weather. Storms were looming all day and finally let out as I was finishing up. My Menzerna SIP was acting up due to the humidity, leaving gummy chunks of polish and dust everywhere, so I ended up re-washing the car in the pouring rain. The car also didn't fit all the way in the garage, so I had to seal the back half of the car while the front got poured on, then back it all the way in, dry the front and finish. What a nightmare!

OK, now the second worst part of this detail. I couldn't get any "after" shots. I was stuck in the tiny one car garage, and it was dark and pouring outside. These were the only shots I managed to take.
BUT, you know I wouldn't do that to you guys. My friend was nice enough to take some pics of the car a few days later.

not to be picky ......but what your calling swirls is from improper toweling of the car...spider web scratches. swirls to me are caused from improper buffing and compound residue that is hanging out in the paint.

Swirls are swirls no matter what caused them it doesn't matter in my opinion.... most of the time though it is from improper wash technique.
If there are circles around the sun those are "Swirls" weather they are from washing, buffing, "toweling" whatever lol

Thanks! Well...what do you want to know? It's up there with some of the most durable products I've tried, it's pretty damn slick, and looks good. Ease of use is pretty good, but not like Four Star or Wolfgang. If you have any specific questions, I'll be glad to answer to the best of my abilities.

Even sometimes I, in a moment of what could only be described as pure sanity, question the rationality of this obsession.

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It's good to be da King !!!

That car would look good dirty in my driveway. But it sure looks good all cleaned up. i appreciate the pictures that tell a story. I know how hard it is to get the same angle to show the change created without making it appear that you may be hiding something. Nice work!
