Cyber Gray 2009 Z06 Detail - 02-07-2010, 05:11 PM

This is my friend's brother's car. IIRC it has around 2,000 miles on it, and the paint had very minor marring, which M205 corrected without issue. See process and pics below.

Wash:
Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo
Sheepskin Wash Mitt
Lake Country wash sponge
Two-bucket method w/Grit Guards

Wheels:
P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel
Daytona Speedmaster Wheel Brush
Pinnacle Microfiber Detailing Mitt (for face of wheel)
Clean Wheel Lug Nut brush
Grit Guard

Duragloss #501 Marine/RV Polish
Optimum Opti-Seal

Clay:
DP Universal Detailing Clay
DP Universal Clay Lubricant

Paint Correction:
Flex XC3401 VRG
Lake Country Hydro-Tech Tangerine 6.5" pads (took 3 to do the whole car)
Meguiar's #205 Ultra Finishing Polish

LSP:
Wolfgang Fuzion Carnauba Polymer Estate Wax via Lake Country 6.5" CCS Gray finishing pad

Odds and ends:
Poorboy's Bold 'N Bright on tires
303 Aerospace Protectant on all trim and wheelwells
Menzerna Polishing Cream Metal Polish on exhaust tips
Sprayway Glass Cleaner on glass
3M Automotive Masking Tape on all emblems, weatherstripping, trim, etc

Before:

Marring was hard to capture with my point & shoot camera, but my LED flashlight did a good job at showing everything in person.

After:

Exhaust tips before/after

And all finished

This one is next on the list

Very nice.
I'll be down to pick up both cars in a couple of days.

Not my car, but yes, it did have a considerable amount of orange peel. Then again, I can't think of any Chevy that doesn't have it.
