T-Mac Interior Detail (Honda CRV) - 01-23-2010, 02:05 PM

I had a woman call me to find out what I charged for a interior detail on a Honda CRV. She said that she had dog hair that has been in the vehicle for 7yrs (yes I said 7yrs). The woman said she had tried a number of times vacuuming the vehicle out...but the dog hair just wouldn't budge. So I went to picked the womans vehicle up and it was just as she had discribed over the phone I had never seen so much dog hair in one vehicle.

Process
Vacuum out
Used PB's APC to clean carpets & seats
Used PB's APC to wipe down interior
Used PB's Natural look to dress interior

Nice !!!

Did you knit a few new dogs from the left over hair or did you just give her back 5 garbage bags full of hair?

I think a lot of the time the owners go to either a DIY spray wash or some type of drive-thru that doesn't do a good job on the interior.
Animal hair, (and human hair) can be a real pain to remove.
She did try to vacuum it a number of times with no luck.

Tmac: How much time and effort was needed for just the hair removal?
I would bet that it was well over half of the total time for the interior.

While I like animals, I really like them to be in another person's car or house.

Are you sure it was dogs? Looks like a tribe of Yeti's lived in it! Good lord! How did you manage to get all that hair up and out?

Great job! More than I could tackle!

Thanks Red... it took lots of patients to get it all out by the time I got the hair out... I was ready to be done with her vehicle. Momma said detailing is like a box of chocolates... you never know what your gonna get.
