    2000 Lexus GS 300 Detail

I detailed a 2000 Lexus GS300 owned by a friend of mine. The exterior was in pretty good shape. The interior was not bad at all except for the drivers seat and some stains on the carpet. The front floor mats were dirty and showing their age. This is his daily driver so it is just showing normal wear and tear. Still I spent about 7.5 hours on the car.

I have way too many products so I used a bunch of them on this detail.

    Products used:
Chem Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss Hyper Wash
Chem Guys Clayblock & Clay Luber
    PoorBoy`s World Pro Polish
    Wolfgang Finish Glaze
    Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant
    Poorboy`s World Spray & Wipe
    1Z Einzett Wheel Cleaner
    Klasse AIO
    Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel
    Chem Guys Bare Bones
    Connolly`s Leather Cleaner
    Four Star Ultimate Leather Conditioner
    Poorboy`s World Natural Look
    DP Engine Degreaser
    DP Total Interior Cleaner
    Amazing Roll Off
Surf City Clearly Better Glass cleaner
    Folex Carpet Cleaner

Lots of Micro Fiber towels (Cobra & Poorboy`s)

    Equipment used:
    Shop Vac
    AG Foam Gun
UDM with Lake Country pads and a scrub brush attachment
Edge ShMitt – white/yellow wash; Black, and Yellow/white interior
    EZ Brush
    Kratcher Pressure Washer
Leaf Blower with Air Wand attachment

    Process:

    Wheels:
Sprayed the wheels with 1Z Einzett wheel cleaner
Sprayed the tires and wheel wells with ARO
Agitated the wheels with the EZ Brush in a bucket of Citrus Hyper Wash. Also used the Black ScMitt. I used a little dish scrub brush I picked up at Ikea for the wheel wells.

After all was done, I wiped the chrome wheels with AIO, wiped the tires with Pinnacle Black Onyx and sprayed the wells with Bare Bones.

    Exterior:

Washed with the a ShMitt and foam gun using Citrus Hyper Wash. Dried with a leaf blower and the Air Wand attachment.

Cleaned the paint with the Clayblock & Clay Luber.

I played around with a few different options like White diamond, Pro Polish, and Wolfgang Finish Glaze. I ended up using Pro-Polish in places that needed some extra cleaning. Man, that stuff is awesome and so versatile! Then I applied Wolfgang Finish Glaze via a blue Lake Country pad and the UDM.

Lastly, I applied Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant.

    Interior:

I used the Kratcher Pressure washer to clean the mats. Folex and the brush on the UDM helped get out the dirt and stains. I was not able to make them like new again, but redefine cleaner. The Wet Dry vac sucked up the majority of water and then I left them out in the sun to dry.

On the interior carpet I used Folex and the UDM/ brush on spots.

The interior dash and doors were cleaned with DP Interior Cleaner and followed up with PB Natural Look.

The seats were cleaned with Connolly`s Leather cleaner and an interior ShMitt. It took a lot of scrubbing to get the driver seat somewhat clean. I was going to use Connolly`s Hide Care on the seats but sadly it went bad on me. My fault, I left it in the hot garage. Fortunately I have a bottle of Four Star Leather Conditioner (Poly Charged whatever that means!) The seats soaked up the leather conditioner.

The engine bay was cleaned with the Kratcher, DP De-greaser and wiped down with PB Natural Look.

I told my friend to let me wash and wax his car again in a couple of weeks and put some more leather conditioner on the seats. He seemed very happy with the results!

    Now for pictures!
As you can see the car was not overly dirty when I started:

This picture does not show how dirty the driver seat was:

Here are some carpet stains that Folex and scrubbing took care of:

    Stains gone:

Here is a great example of how good PB Pro-Polish is. As you can see in the picture there was something on the car that I could not remove while washing. It was easily removed by Pro-Polish!

Here is the same spot after the detail was complete:

Here are some scratches with embedded dirt that I was not able to scrub clean. Pro-Polish cleaned them right up. The scratches are still there of course, but much less noticeable.

here is an interesting picture. I used Pro-Polish on the black door pillars and on the door jambs. This is how the pad looked after. The pillars looked beautiful afterward!
