I have owned this car since 1999, purchased from my father-in-law who used it as a company car for 2 years. I know the car is not perfect and all with some paint nicks in the front bumper and hood, but what can I say with 200K miles on it.
My process was a quick wash and dry at work on Thursday night.
I drove it home and put in the garage.
Quick S&W
Clay – S&W mixed 50:50 with water and Riccardo clay & Poorboy’s clay. I am having a small issue with the Riccardo clay falling part. I store it in a zip lock bag with clay lube. Maybe it is too moist when I remove it. I don’t know? I store Poorboy’s the same way and have no issues with it.
My process was
PC7424
SSR 2.5 – LC CCS 5.5” and 4” orange cut and 5.5” white polishing pads
SSR 1 – LC CCS 5.5” and 4” white polishing pads
These pictures are before and after SSR 2.5 x1 – Using a tripod with camera. Shoot me – I did not feel like doing another round of SSR 2.5
The door handles were done with a MF towel, SSR 2.5 followed by SSR 1.
I removed the spoiler and cleaned the trunk up with S&W.
the pictures look good and for 200K that's pretty amazing that it's still running let alone looking good .... as long as you think it came out good, that all that really matters ...pictures are nice but personal commentary is much more important IMHO
The pics look great, and for 200K miles the paint looks amazing...
I like beer. On occasion I will even drink a beer to celebrate a major event such as the fall of communism or the fact that our refrigerator is still working.

Thanks guys for the responses - I feel the car came out great - some of those small misc marks will be addressed the next time I polish it. Hopefully by then, I will be accustomed to my new rotary that I ordered from DC yesterday.. WOO HOO
WOW! What else can I say you did an amazing job. You should be very proud.
I’ve seen cars on the road that are only a few years old that don’t look as good as your ride does. Just incredible. You really went all the way. I’ve seen and heard of a lot of people detailing every “nook and cranny” but taking off the spoiler is something else.
What does your father-in-law think of his old ride now?
