WaxWorks: 2005 Cadillac DeVille - 05-31-2008, 07:16 PM

This detail was done the other day. The owner has a sweet Chow/Rottweiler mix who rides in the backset and sheds like crazy. She has a well shaded drivewway and the birds used the car for target practice and the chrome wheels had severe hardened brake dust

The process: Exterior
  • washed with CAR Products Sudssational car wash shampoo
  • road tar removed with CAR Products Solv-All solvent
  • tires cleaned with CAR Products MaxiWhite
  • wheels cleaned with AutoMagic acid based wheel cleaner
  • clayed with CAR products Microbar detailing clay
  • buffed with Meguiar's #83 DACP via rotary w/ 3M foam cutting pad
  • buffed a second time with DACP via PC w/Sounus Swirlbuster pad
  • polished with Meguiar's #9 swirl remover viz PC w/DAS polishing pad
  • LSP was Meguiar's #21 synthetic sealant X2 via PC w/ DAS finishing pad
  • glass cleaned with Stoners IG and treated with RainX
  • Stoners MSLT on the tires
  • engine bay cleaned with ZEP citrus cleaner full strength, drressed with Meguiar's hyper dressing
Interior
  • The interior was thoroughly vacummed and dog hair removed
  • ZEP carpet and upholstery cleaner on the mats and carpeting, extracted via Bissel LGM
  • Seats cleaned with Lexol leather cleaner and using a nail brish to agitiate the dirt from the leather
  • seats treated with Lexol leather conditioner
  • dash and door panels cleaned with ZEP Citrus cleaner 50/50, then with Meguiar's Interior QD
  • glass cleaned with Stoners IG

Nice turnaround...I wonder how long it is before the dog is back in the car.

I'm sure you guys already know this but I'm a little on the slow side. Troy keeps me around because he feels sorry for me and he's a generous human bean. What is WaxWorks? Is it a business name or a product?

"WaxWorks" was the name of the movie that Paris Hilton was in a few years back.

It's the name of my auto detailing business.

It's also the name of a Paul Mitchell hair care product.
