Im not COMPLETELY sure what it is here but its usually pretty low here.

Anyway, my dad was thinking and has come to the conclusion that the whole dilemma with the economy is due to the high gas prices.

Not sure why this is in the Click `n Brag section, unless I can brag how expensive it was to fill up my truck yesterday: $120 for a full tank!!!

Yes, diesel shot up to $3.49 here in Texas.

And i read in an investment article, the real estate market is a major cause of the gas prices, trying to make some money back and adjusted price should be $30-40 a barrel.

BTW $1.06 a litre here, rumor is tomorrow going up to $1.14 thats $4.32 US gallon. Tar sands, refineries and lots of wells around here.

Back when gas was $30.00 a barrel I read that we couldn`t economically produce gas from our vast coal reserves until oil reached $60.00 a barrel. It went over $100 a barrel. It`s a fact that we have enough coal in this country to last over 200 years. Why aren`t we doing this now? If we did this and didn`t rely on the Middle East and that insance dictator, Hugo Chavez ,the US would be a better, safer and cheaper place to live. I remember the gas wars of the late 60`s when you could get 5 gallons for a dollar. This is the only way we can get the gas prices down and jump start the economy.

About 2.89 here for regular. If I fill up an empty tank on my truck, It`ll cost me around $60.

Back when I started driving, gas was so AFFORDABLE that I could literally take a $20 and fill up. Miss those days...

It was $2.77 for regular over here for a while, I think it went up a little since then though. I`ve been off from work this past week, so I really don`t know the prices. I did notice it was $2.90 for regular at Costco yesterday though. I believe I heard somewhere, that where I live (NJ) has some of, if not the lowest prices in the country for gas.
