Detail Fest 09 - 03-21-2009, 09:35 PM

Well guys, today was a good day. Just left all the wild ones at "Finz" where we had dinner with "the gang". We had a chance to make some new friends who are now new members.

Sheila and I spent some time getting to know Mike Phillips (Meguiar's) at dinner. What a nice guy. Our forum members represented well. They were the ones at the end of the table doing shots and as we were leaving they were joining Dwayne on the dance floor.

Wish I had my camera.

Today was nice. The weather did put a damper on things a little but I think people still had a good time, learned a lot and went away happy. I just realized that I never got a chance to meet Max. He was busy giving tours most of the day.

I'm sitting in the hotel room now about ready to crash. I will post some pics when I get home tomorrow.

Wish you all could have been there.

That dinner was really only for guys who know how to take proper care of leather seats.

(sorry everyone another inside joke)

Ok, if that was the reason I didn't get invited I understand. Troy, can I just go pick up some Lanolin and rub it all over the leather in a Ferrari?

But they're soooo damn comfy and waterproof! Guess I'm just not important enough to be invited to dinner.

Let me add to Troy's comments by saying it was an excellent get together! I thoroughly enjoyed the entire event however had to leave around 4:30 to get back to Tampa - sorry I missed Finz. It is always to great to meet some of the fantastic people that share this passion.

As far as the weather, no problem - it let us look at some really nice beading!!!

OK. I'm home and just uploaded some pics. Most of the good ones had me in them again. Go figure.

Lot's of vendors showing off in the tent. Meguiar's made the biggest(literally) impression parking their trailer right there.

Rick from Four Star was excited to introduce Ultima and Ultima's new products at DF. I got in the way of the product table.

Rick brought one of Paul Azinger's cars to the show. I believe we saw this car at the Ferrari show in February.

Ran into Paul (pander5) Couple of good looking guys.

Gary (premium) and me - One of us definitely needs a hair cut.

This was the only time I saw Dwayne sitting down the whole day. Everybody at AG were busy bees. Made me tired just watching them.

Had to get a pick with my buddy. Sorry for the weak humor of looking like I'm swiping something. I'm such a goof.

Ran into this motley crew as we arrived. Eric(blk45), me, Angelo(zoomzoom) and Adam(Harleyguy)

Ron (bluecpe) and me. One of us needs to work out a little more.

Managed to snap a shot of his vette. Looks almost as good as when I detailed it.

Al (bunky) and I. BTW Thanks for the shirt Steve. See I'm wearing it.

Matt@AG was doing the FLEX demo. Almost looked like he knew what he was doing. j/k Matt

I did miss the Hooter's girls this year but the band was a nice touch. Me -> <- Sheila

Here was an interesting truck that did a drive through.

Some more pics from Saturday...
