So it begins... my first few purchases due to Autopia!

Wifey and I headed to wally world, and guess who decided to make a stop in the car care section

Here`s the rundown:

64oz NXT Car Wash - 5 bucks in the clearance section :woot: (Anybody have opinions on this? The one thing I haven`t been able to find so far is what everybody likes as far as the actual wash product)

1 Gal Purple Power degreaser - 4 bucks, what a deal.

26oz A2Z Wheel Cleaner - they don`t have a big selection of wheel stuff at my local wallyworld.

Prestone interior cleaner in a can with the scrubby bristles - we also have a Bissel little green machine, but this stuff was only a couple bucks and I`ve read it works well.

200ct bucket-o-shop rags - for 9 bucks, I couldn`t pass it up. Look on the endcaps in wallyworld for these, big dumb Nascar logo on it

5 pack Microtex cleaning MF towels - I think these were 4 or 5 bucks... They don`t feel very soft though so I`m probably going to use them for tire scrubbing or removal of excess tire dressing?

I`m planning on ordering my PC online, and for the life of me I can`t remember where I saw the deal for a clay kit that was about 25 or 30 bucks and came with a ton of clay and lubricant.

Still not sure what I want to do for polish/sealant/etc, but looking at White95Max`s car makes me think that AIO + UPP is a good start. Any other suggestions?

Actually, you did very well! (Well you purchased everything I buy at WM!)

NXT is a good wash soap.. I purchased three of them myself! Ditto on the Purple Power and A2Z. I`m not feeling it on the Prestone interior cleaner, pickup some woolite and some spray bottles next time you are there and definitely keep those MF for wheels or interiors, not your paint.

ON the sealant, AIO/UPP is as good starting point as any, as is one layer of Zaino Z2 Pro. I just put them both on the hood of my Sagebush Honda Pilot, side by side and they are very, very close in terms of looks (only been on there for three days, review to come later).

I don`t know about that clay kit ... if you find out.. let me know!

My favorite combo on white is One Grand Omega Glaze followed by two or more coats of Blitz Wax.

LOL, that purchase was mostly for her vehicle anyways... She gets to drive a 99 Navigator. I think there is more carpet in that thing than in my house!

Is the NXT wash on sale at all Wally Worlds?

I went to mine today, and the NXT wash was on a little shelf on the top with some other doo dads, but no price.

I agree with everyone else those are some good buys. I originally liked the NXT wash but the smell became overwhelming to me eventually. I know switched to Meguiar`s Gold Class, 1 gallon for $10 bucks and find it to be a great product and value.

The PC is a great idea!

Get your cc streched cuz your going to be doing lots of online orders.

Okay, so quick PC question since I`m ready to order...

I`m thinking of going to Lowe`s to pick up the 7336, and then ordering the Propel kit from exceldetail here: http://www.prestostore.com/cgi-bin/s...29307&pd=97914

So, if I just get those 2 I`m good right? Will I need to get a different counterweight for the 7336?

Actually, I think the 7336 comes with the 6" weight which is the preferred weight of most here. I bought the 7424 from Coastal and it came with both 5" and 6". I did not have a Lowe`s-purchase option. Also, don`t be afraid to get extra pads. Trust me, you WILL need them. You will soon start trying other products and you don`t want to have to wait for the pads to dry after a cleaning.

I would reccomend the Propel kit from Patrick (Excel Detail) or the Sonus kit from the Autopia store. I`ve used the Sonus kit, and the Propel pads seem to be very similar, if not the same. I think the deciding factor would just be price for me.

Good choice in pads! I would suggest you order some extras: at least two green, an orange, and perhaps a yellow for more aggressive cutting if needed.

Patrick (Excel) is also a good place to buy some nice MF`s and a grit guard or two for your wash and rinse buckets. Might as well order everything at once and save shipping
