Any recommendations on finding a pure polish?
No cleaning ability, just a polish. I believe Megs #7 is but I want an easier product to use.
Thanks guys!

If it doesn`t clean then what does it do? IMHO this "pure polish" marketing hype of Meguiar`s is just that nothing but pure hype.a pure polish?

A pure polish is really just for burnishing the paint to bring out a little more depth and gloss. The only one that i can think of off the top of my head would be Menzerna Final Polish II.

My definition of a polish -contains oils and abrasives that will level a surface and replace the paint`s oils.
Surely an abrasive would by its nature `clean` a surface.
Am I missing something?
What gets overlooked too often is that one must be a student before becoming a teacher.
I think what you really need is a "glaze"!
Like Meg`s #7 for example!

Simple, #7 is a glaze. They are used to add depth and gloss to the paint prior to your LSP.
There is absolutely no standard in the way the term polish is used in the industry. All "pure polish" means is a glaze with no cleaners in it. I don`t see how that is hype.

Have you tried Meguiars #81 Professional Hand Polish? It is very similar to #7 and most consider it much easier to use. There is also a good article on #7 written by Mike Phillips if you want to give #7 another try.

He is looking for something with no cleaners. Although Poorboys Professional Polish doesn`t contain abrassives, it does contain chemical cleaners. From his post it sounds like he is just looking for a glaze.
OH OK.. I must of 1/2 read it..I usually do that you know

The only things I can think of are Meguiar`s #81, #3, and #5 (i think), and also sonus sfx3 (i think).
Although #3 says it`s for use with a machine, many people find it easier to work with than #7 when used by hand.
I hate to use the "Z" word again, but Zaino says that Z2 has absolutly no abrasives in it. No cleaners either I think, it`s not even supposed to remove water spots.:argue
My wife thinks I`m crazy cause I polish my Cub Cadet with Zaino Z2!

Zaino is actually a sealant. I`m guessing it is called what it is because it`s not a wax and the general public doesn`t know what a sealant is.
But then who`s to say that zaino isn`t an extremely long-lasting polish/glaze that can be topped with other sealants or waxes..
