Hey there all. I`ve had my 3M clear bra (Autobahn) on my car for almost 2 years now on my 05 TL. I plan on having this on for the life time of this car. IMO, it`s the best option you can buy on any car period.

I`ve done tons of searches here and the Acura forums about bugs leaving a tiny yellow or orange stain on the bra after it`s been cleaned. As of now, I have about 2 or 3 of the bug stains on my front bumper.

A while ago I had a similar bug stain on my fender peice and it went away about a week or so exposed to the sun or heat or weekly washings.

Right now I`m trying to figure out the best way to remove the stains by hand. I`ve used various products like AIO, plastic polish, Scratch-X etc, but nothing that`s too abrasive. Note: I did not damage my bra using the mentioned products.

Is there a solution? I`m thinking about using a Citrus based cleaner or even alcohol, but I`ve read that it doesn`t work. Some claimed it fade away, but my question is this really true that those tiny stains will dissappear on its own.

I used Plexus or PlasticX, both work like a charm.

I haven`t tried Plas-X on it, but I do have some. I`ll give that a shot.

I tried some SG APC, but that didn`t work. When I get home I`ll try Meg Plast-X and try claying it.

I have the same problem with the VentureShield clear bra on my Mitsubishi Evo IX - I have a couple of those annoying yellow bug stains and they don`t seem to come off. Its weird because Tar will rub off but those yellow bug stains won`t. Let me know if the Plexus or PlasticX will take it off... I would love to remove them from my car as well.

Keep in mind there are different manufactures, thickness, and clearcoated clear bra`s out there. You might want to contact the installer to find out exectly what brand they used.

I don`t see any bug stains, maybe cause my paint is black. But I have some major spotting going on from pollen/tree sap. Looks like it`s etched in as I can see the outline of them.

I`ve tried both Plexus and Meg`s PlastX with no success.

I have these as well. My car is always garage kept.

Are you guys saying to pull the car out in the sun and let it sit there? This is the only way to get them off? I`ve tried everything else, but they won`t come off manually.

Had a clear bra on my my previous car for about 10 years without a problem. Back then, I didn`t know about clay bars and products such as PlastX. I just washed & waxed it like the rest of the paint. Would that be some sort of bug we don`t have here ?

Cool. Earlier I called 3M/Xpel and they told me a few things to use that would remove them right away:

    wesley`s bleech white

white vinegar with a little water

    meat tenderizer, colorless with water

They said any of those would get rid of them.

Report back and tell us if that works.
