Hey guys, bought some FMJ and getting ready to show some spring bling. Car will be clayed, and preped appropriately.

Anyways, after the first quote of FMJ, how long do I have to wait before applying the 2nd/3rd layer. Additionally, I plan to use PS21 or M26 after the 3rd layer of FMJ - how long do I have to wait to apply the natural wax.

Also - can I layer in the HGAS inbetween the FMJ layers, along with some Finishing Touch Glaze??

Car is Lexus GS400 - diamond pearl white is the color. Any help is greatlly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would wait at least 24 hours between layers. Yes, you can use HGAS before you put on your next layer. Just make sure the paint is nice and clean before any wax or sealant layer.

I have done 2 layers at one time and it looked great.

I`d say more than 2 probably isn`t really worth it. I just maintain with HGAS and re-apply the FMJ every few months and it always looks great.

Thanks for all the help. it worked great.

Next question (for next month) - I am intending to redo the whole thing from scratch.

So, what would be the steps involved?

    1) wash

    2) clay

    3) wash

    4) AIO - or other product to prep/clean/remove old sealant/wax/blah blah blah coats

    5) polish - to removed potential swirls/small or fine scratches (if required??)

    6) FMJ again

    7) HGAS (repeat 6+7 again)

    8) top it off with P21S

I want to make sure that I have all the steps correct as missing a step(s) creates lots of problems.
