Hey guys, my buddy is starting to get into this detailing thing after I did his Red SRT-4 (<--Click here) and he wants to know which is the best sealant combo for his car. He does not have a place to work on it at home, so he wants a sealant that will last him longer than a carnuba, but give him a deep, wet, reflective gloss. I am thinking of products like UPP, Blackfire, Menzerna, or Wolfgang... Any other recommendations would be great. I am just not sure what is the best for red...

Please help and add some suggestions and/or give your opinions.

    Thanks!
    Jason-

I`d give UPP a shot. It has impressed me on every car I`ve done so far. I haven`t done a red car with it yet.

I am thinking that the UPP should benefit lighter colors as it seems to be more reflective that "deep," if you know what I mean.

I would have to say either FMJ/Natty`s, or just FMJ! I know these pics are a little darker red, but you should get the idea!

How long do you have to let FMJ set in before you add another coat?

You`ll be hard pressed to find a more convincing picture of a great sealant for lighter shades of red, or any color for that matter . . .

Using a few pics of Sean`s car that stuck in my mind after seeing them:

Z2Pro, gives the trademark durabilty, plus is deeper and wetter than old Z, and obviously very reflective.

FPII is a perfect product to go straight to sealant. You can use alcohol/water mix if you want, but if you worked the FPII all the way, it will easily wipe off.

For Red, you can`t beat Wolfgang x2-3 topped with Souveran. Wolfgang by itself, x2-3, is a sure winner but a topper adds that extra bit.
