I think my love of the scent of leather is well known here at Autopia, so when I saw a three pack of Little Tree Leather Car Freshner at WM, I just had to try them out.

    Bad mistake!

I tried the Yankee Candle leather freshner, which was not to my taste, but compared to the Little Tree freshner it was sensory heaven!

I had a problem trying to figure out just what this Little Trees Leather Freshner really smelled of and then it hit me.. tobacco! It smells like your grandads study, old leather seats mixed with stale cigar or pipe smoke! No doubt someone will like it, but it`s not for me LOL!

I wanted to give the LT`s a second chance so I hid one in Kat`s car, to see what she would say about it. Well it took about two seconds for Kat to notice the scent, decide that she didn`t like it and to demand that I recondition the seats with Zaino. When I explained that it was an air freshner, I sat and watched while holding it at arms length she walked it to the trash bin.

Next time you are in WM, take a look (and a smell) of the Little Tree Leather Air Freshner (brown tree) ... let me know what you think!

PS: Griots Leather Air Freshner spray is still the best leather scented air freshner I`ve found; can anyone suggest something that might better the Griot`s spray?

Try hanging the Yankee Candle Leather freshner ..in your trunk. I hang mine from the trunk hinge and only cut a slit in the top of the package. Smells great..not too strong..and lasts a long time. This way it doesn`t overpower you.

I personally like Z10 Leather-in-a-bottle or the Ozium "That New Car Smell" stuff. :nixweiss if it`s different than what you`re looking for or not, but I love `em. I`m also going to order some Auto Magic leather or possibly the cherry concentrated air freshener soon here. Will report back with results.

Definitely interested in hearing about the Automagic leather, look forward to your review. Funny thing is, aside from the Griot`s spray leather air freshner, the best leather scents I`ve found are in leather conditioners! Funny world sometimes...

I`m actually using the Leather Little Trees in my car and it doesn`t seem to smell like cigars or my grandpas study. Heck, my grandpa doesn`t even have a study!! Haha just messing around. But I like this fragrance. Now for some of the other Little Trees, those smell pretty bad. I hated Vanillaroma though.
