I finally got a chance to use NXT wax today, and I was very impressed. I did a friends car it`s a black 2001 VW Gulf. I washed with nxt wash, dried the car with a few MF towels. I then noticed stubborn dirt and stains still left on the car. I used stoner tarminator to remove this stubborn stuff. Then I followed with NXT wax by pc. It worked well and the car looked very wet, clear and glassy. I didn`t want to spend all day and I wasn`t getting payed, but #80 would have cleaned the swirls up really nice.

I am looked for a product to replace tarminator, that I could use to wipe down the entire car before polishing or waxing? I don`t think using the pc for this would be wise, because i don`t want to cause any marring or scratching. Something I could use by hand with a terry or MF, so I can toss them as they get dirty. This step seems very important because I would not want to polish, seal or wax over this grime.

    Thanks

Quick detailer if you do not plan on claying. You only need to clay 1-2 times per year.

I use clay but even before claying. There is no reason to get the clay all nasty if you could wipe larger stuff off first.

Clay is good to take those tiny contaminants up and make the car very slick, but it would be a waste to take clay to some of the spots that I had seen after washing. This will make my clay last longer, and help to futher prevent scrathing.
