I`m sure some threads must have been made about this but the search function turned out too many irrelevant results for me to sort through.

I am thinking of cleaning my aunt`s car tomorrow (if weather permits). To her clean=detailed. It`s a 2003 Mitsu Galant with the nice pear paint. She seldom washes it and when she does it`s at the automatic car wash so it has its share of swirls. Since I only want to do this for fun and she most likely will let it get into bad shape again I`m just going to wash, maybe use a paint cleanser, and one step cleaner wax/ maybe sealant. I also see this as a chance to use some otc stuff that I have that I`ve never used more than a few times.

For the cleaning I will be using Meg`s Deep Crystal step 1

But for the wax though I want something that will hide some-most of the swirls but I`m not sure which product to use.

    I have the following:

    -Zymol Cleaner Wax

    -Old Meg`s First Class Paste

    -Mother`s Cleaner Wax

    -Color X

    -Mother`s Synwax

    -Turtlewax Platinum

    -Nanowax

    -Longhaul cleaner wax

-Sonus Swirlbuster (but don`t want to use it since I`d have to actually do some polishing, too lazy)

    -Nxt liquid

    What`s your opinion?

Will you be using a PC or Rotary? If so, the Longhaul polish/wax will remove light marring. I would use the LH AIO and follow it with the Synwax or NXT. Careful with the LH AIO, dont get it in crevices, trim, and wipe it off completely (thiiiinnn application) or it will leave a white residue.

Yeah, I think you will find that the LH AIO will work a bit better than the Megs cleaner wax. The LH leaves a little protection behind also. The NXT isn`t incredibly durable, but for the OTC items you posted, sounds to *me* the best plan of attack.

Edit: you can work the LH AIO in a bit, just don`t overwork it, it tends to be tricky to remove.

LH AIO can stain trim, so be careful. Megs Cleaner Wax or Color X have better filling properties than LH as well.
