Seems like I'm starting to get a good reputation for detailing motorcycles. There is a large amount of them here in NO CAL, that like their bikes clean!

This one is being picked up this evening, I haven't put the leather saddle bags back on just yet so that I can show him the work that was done on the rear rim.

This is one really nice machine

Claying does not mean "High end". It means quality/caring. So would actually learning a trade instead of "Hey I can wash and wax a car, so I'ma gonna be a detailer."

I just called the local HD dealer to see what they charge, they do not have a wash bay, so cannot do details on site, HELLO S&W!!!

They gave me the name of an outside detailer they use. I talked to him, and asked some general questions...He said that he doesn't polish the metals as polish would scratch the metal, he uses a wax

I guess to someone that has no idea about detailing chemicals that would see reasonable, but really

He also has all his own products, in checking his My Space page and one other he dose good work from the pics that I seen posted, I just can't get passed the no polish part.

Anyway he was a good sounding board for pricing

Looks great... How long did it take you? I am thinking to polish all of that chrome must have been time consuming.

Stephan, not as long as you would think, PB PP makes short order of the work. I have started to develop the process of detailing these bikes, like a car that's half the battle.

I spent 4 hours on this bike, split into three days

Now if this chrome was in bad shape yes these can take a considerable amount of time

As promised here are the outside pics of the bike...he took the bike into the street to turn around and hit some dirt, that's what you are seeing on the front tire...damit!

My God dirt on the tire... You're supposed to tell them they can't drive it once its been detailed, rather just simply look at it.

Dave, did you use a machine for any of the polishing and if so which machines, or did you do it all by hand? Looks great by the way. Very nice bike!!
