Hi atkinsonair. these took me 4 hrs a piece, but they hadnt been washed in 3 yrs lol. A normal cessna usually takes me an hour to an hour and a half inside and out and i'll charge 75.00 plus material. When I saw these 2 I went with 35.00 an hour plus material lol. They were filthy. The owner jumped at the chance. He liked my work so much he wants these planes washed once a month whether they are flown or not.

Ha ha dont feel bad buddy I was in the same boat. Dry wash is actually a system. The system and products I use are sold by jetstream products. The chemicals I use are power foam to breakdown grease and oil and flyers speed wax to give the plane a little luster and plexiclear to do the windows and interior.Windex has no business around a plexiglass window. lol those planes were just drywashed I need to convince my clients to let me wax them The reason I got into it is when I approached the county for permission to conduct business,They flat out said you cannot use water due to the tarmac being asphalt rather than cement. the chemicals combined with water runoff can weaken the asphalt. This airport doesnt have a wash bay. Soooo I went online for an alternative and found jetstreamproducts.com they even sell you a how to manual on how to drywash and wax . The detailing experience I had was on wet washing. The manual and chemicals are expensive but they are well worth the money. Their products are amazing and if you have a problem you can call them and they are extremely helpful. Heck they even have a school out of the DFW airport where they teach people how to do wet washing, drywashing, de-ice boot refurbishing, metal polishing the works! I'll eventually take their course when I have the time and money. There is always something new to learn in my opinion. Theres more than one way to skin a cat or in this case wash a plane. Plus the certificate you get wil get me a discount on my insurance. I love the drywash system better its more work but it allows you to see any spots you may have missed right off where as with wet washing sometimes you wont see the dirty spots till the plane is dry. lol I am extremely anal when it comes to cleaning a plane.

Great Job sjr!! The little Cessna.....is that a 150?

I've done a few dry jobs with just a spray bottle of Carbon X. I've been lucky enough to be able to use water at all the airports I got to so far, but sometimes the hangars have very poor drainage.
