Is there any difference between these mitts other than color? Weight, density, etc.?

I was just thinking about changing my wash mits. Do I want this or a LC sponge?

Ultimately it comes down to user preference. I have several Lake Country Foam Car Wash Sponge and well as Sheepskin Wash Mitt and more.

One of the advantages of the wash `sponges` is they hold a huge volume of soapy water. The new series of large Micro-Chenille Wash Mitts in this thread, because of their increase in size/plumpness hold almost as much. Any washing tool we sell @ Autopia-CarCare.com is really the highest quality, so there is no wrong answer. It is matter how the tool feels in your hand and what you feel gives you the best results.

When we looked at improving the microfiber chenille design the idea of color coordinating them was definitely cool, but the ultimate goal was to offer the most plush and largest mitts we could. Basically these are the best performing mitts we could come up.

Changes in density, fiber length, or material weight from one to another would negatively impact performance and keep us from meeting out goal.

So each of the mitts is similar, designed to be the best, regardless of color.

The different colors do give the user the opportunity to coordinate with their favorite towels and uses to prevent cross contamination or using a wheel mitt on paint, etc. You can choose which ever color you want and enjoy the same performance!

It`s hard to check a black mitt for harmful grit & debris.

I got the same deal as you did troy and have found that those green one`s don`t hold near as much soapy water as the blue chenille mitt i bought from advance auto.

I agree with you. But I do like that they don`t get so heavy. I have counteracted the amount of soapy water by only doing half a hood or half a door panel before getting more wash solution. For myself at home this works fine as I can take my time.

Yes, which is why we color cooridinated it with the excellent All Purpose & Wheel Detailing clothes for those who pamper their wheels as much as their paint!

Brake dust stains microfiber, so using dark colored materials for these only made sense!

I actually have a green one next the new purple one and the difference is HUGE!

I can take a picture of them side by side to show, but what the picture will not show is how soft and plush the new Micro-Chenille Wash Mitts are. You literally have to feel them to appreciate them.

Also the amount of water/soap solution the new ones hold is amazing. I will concoct a little test and show you tomorrow.

I don`t like wash mits. I am however a huge fan of the Griots chenille wash pads. As stated, personal preference.
