POLISH ANGEL Viking Shield and topped that with some Bouncer`s Vanilla Ice. Rims are protected with some Carbon Collective coating. Pinnacle glasscoat sealant on the glass. That stuff is amazing.

The way the weather has been, I`d say that the 2 coats of UPW will be my winter coating.

    Re: Your winter protection

This winter will be my first using coatings:

    My DD:
    • Paint: CarPro CQuartz UK
    • Wheels: They`re plastic hubcaps... i just keep`m clean
    • Tires: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus
    • Glass: GTechniq G5 Water Repellent Coating - Maintained with Optimum Opti-Glass Clean & Protect
    • Interior: DP Interior Surface Protectant
    • Trim: Hmmm... it needs some TLC first

    The wife`s DD:
    • Paint: Optimum OC 2.0
    • Wheels: DP`s Wheel Coating
    • Tires: BLACKFIRE Total Trim & Tire Sealant
    • Glass: GTechniq G5 Water Repellent Coating - Maintained with Optimum Opti-Glass Clean & Protect
    • Interior: BLACKFIRE Interior Protectant
    • Trim: BLACKFIRE Total Trim & Tire Sealant

Now finding the time to do all of proper prep work for the above is another story...

    Re: Your winter protection

All the DD`s in my family stay outside 24/7 in Western PA, since my El Camino and assorted lawn mowers, bicycles and the like occupy the garage stalls. Last year I did Opti-Seal on daughter`s Honda and a stack of DG501/601 & DG105, topped by Collinite 476 on my Olds. The Opti-Seal was a mid-winter fail, but the 501/601/105/476 combo lasted well into June when I clayed, polished and waxed just `cause I felt guilty. This year, the Fit has been Opti-coated, wife`s new Cruze got one pass with 476 with another coming soon, and my new-to-me Lacrosse just got a base of DG105/601, topped with DG111, with a final topper of 476 yet to come.
Based on my history with the above products, I don`t expect to be using anything other than the occasional spray of Aquawax for another 5 months or so.

The Camino has WGDGPS topped with Max Wax, but it`ll be just fine in hibernation untill spring.

    Re: Your winter protection

My Dodge Ram is the only car that sits outside in the winter. I currently have BFWD on it now. I do a ton of rinseless washes all winter. I will put a fresh coat of Prima Hydro Max on now and use that throughout the winter.

I will also probably put on coat of Pinnacle Wheel coating. Held up great last winter....

    Winter ?!?!?!?!?!

My aging memory has a vague recollection of it, but not clear. Could you please remind me.

    Re: Your winter protection

Not in the snow belt and who knows what kind of weather we will have in Southern California. But I just polished and protected my mom`s 96 regal with DP Poli Coat. I have 3 more cars to do to get ready for anything. I don`t mind the 70 degree Christmas weather but we can sure use some rain.
