    New ride first detail

I just purchased a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee in bright white clear coat. I would like to have some recommendations what to do for its initial detail. I envision a basic clay job with a following of some sort of protective sealant and/or wax. I have Klasse AIO and sealant glaze in the garage. What are the opinions of using these products on a white paint. Will they not only protect but also make the paint look richer/deeper?

Do you plan on using a polisher or by hand?

    Welcome to AutopiaForums!

Klasse would likely make it look brighter and whiter. Very good and long lasting products but you could be chasing streaks for a while if applied too heavily.

For deeper & richer, I would probably go with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Seal. Much, much easier to apply as well.

Why would anyone want to buy a white car? So boring.

Congrats on the new ride! why don`t put a coating like Optimum Gloss Coat or CQuartz? it`ll make your life easier with less time and effort to clean it..

    White is an AWESOME color
Congrats on your new ride! I have a black `15 Wrangler and like
BFWD sealant and pretty much BF products all around but I have topped with Collinite 845 and BFMS and like it. Not sure I want to try coatings yet!

I have a polisher and if I do the Klasse I would apply it with that. Thanks for the replies.

Since it`s a new car and you have a polisher, have you considered applying a surface coating? A surface coating is like a super sealant and offer the most protection and durability. It`ll keep you Jeep cleaner for longer than any other wax or sealant.

I would wash > decon (iron X)/clay > polish (as needed) > apply a coating

What are you talking about? I am pretty sure white will be my next car color. After owning dark colored cars most of my life. I am looking for a change. I owned a Toyota 4Runner that was white. When it was properly prepped and waxed it looked amazing.

What type of super sealant would you recommend? I thought the Klasse Glaze was a sealant.

Sorry I meant you should consider a "surface coating" which is described as a "super sealant" because it`s thicker, lasts longer (~2 years), is more chemical resistant and looks better.

List of available surface coatings on Autopia-CarCare.com:

    Optimum Gloss-Coat
CarPro CQuartz and CQuartz UK Edition
    Pinnacle Black Label Coatings
    Detailer`s Pro Series Coatings
    GTechniq EXO and C1
    Duragloss Enviroshield
    Chemical Guys Second Skin 6
    SONAX Polymer Net Shield

I`m sure I forgot a couple but these are some of the most popular ones.

    I`ve got Gloss-Coat on my car: http://www.autopiaforums.com/forums/...t-coating.html

Each coating has their own unique properties.

White is an awesome color! I think white really I highlights the body lines of a vehicle. It`s also a bit easier to maintain and when all polished up, looks amazing! I suggest a coating as well, I use CQUK and LOVE it! I have all black vehicles and it makes owning them easy peezy! Good luck, post some pics for us when your done
