If it spreads in the same way as Pro, you should be able to do all painted surfaces (no wheels) on a midsized car with about 8cc.

    Re: New Optimum Coating

If you use a spreader that does not soak up the product, you even use less still..

Way back at the beginning of this product, before some of you guys were born.. -

There was a video of a well known and respected Detailer spreading Opti-Coat with a one of those blue paper shop towels that come on that roll.

He folded the shop towel into a small square, put a small, firm, flexible, sponge into a Nitrile work glove, put the folded towel over the sponge, and put a rubber band or something over this, at the top, to hold the folded towel tightly over the sponge in the glove..

The "applicator was small in diameter but tall so, it was easy to grip, and the paper towel was strong enough and soft enough to coat perfectly, not shred, not scratch, and not absorb product like a bare sponge, since the paper was only a few layers thick and made a smaller footprint..

The Jet Black vehicle he did with this method for the video was absolutely, stunningly, clear, glossy, and not one scratch from the application..

No muss, no fuss, not much wasted product.. Innovation..

You can achieve a even better result by using the CarPro Block with their suede applicators.

The product will stay on the suede, and with the right technique, you can apply a substantially thicker coat of Opti-Coat (and presumably, gloss-coat) with this technique. In very hot weather, I`ve been able to apply Opti-Coat with no high spots using this method.

I Know this awesome detail who I think you know as well, that using a car pro block and suede is able to coat entire panels with out a single high spot.. Do you remember who that was? I know when you saw it happen you bowed to the awesomeness before you and admit the skills being displayed were epic
