Whoops. Fine sand on foam pads

I made a boo boo this evening. while doing my final put-up of products for the night, I realized that I somehow managed to get ultra fine grains of sand on one of my grey ccs pads (I seem to have placed the da bag too close to a bag of sand in the garage). The shiny grains are only visible under white light But I am sure this is no good. What should I do? Let it soak overnight? Or is it toast?

    I can`t believe I made such a foolish error.

Personally... I`d just chuck it. Not worth the risk of causing damage which means extra work.

A foam pad as you know, is full of tiny pores and ccs pads have extra things going on as well.

If the sand gets into the pores, you will never be able to get it all out because you probably cant see it all..

Even if you rinse it a lot and try to dislodge all the sand, you may still miss some and that would be bad for the paint you use it on next..

Im with the guys above - throw it away, make sure no one accidentally uses it..

Use it as an applicator instead, tires work.
