Black Dye transferred onto Tan leather seats

Ok, this time its my fault. My wife`s lexus has tan leather seats. I sat in the car for a 45 min ride with Black jeans on that had a black leather (probably vinyl) strip on the top of the pockets in the back. The black color from that material got transferred over to the seats. No color from the jeans only that piece of material. I just cleaned the seats witt Leather Master and no luck removing. I also tried the alcohol method in a small area and this did not work either. I tried that method with ink pen before and it removed well, but did nothing to remove the black dye color. I ordered the Leather Master ink away today in hopes that it may remove it as well but Im not sure how it works with dye. Im assuming it will take about 3 days to reach my home. Any other suggestions? Is there a different cleaning agent needed to remove dye? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

At home remedy, try hairspray. Otherwise, next would be Leather Master Dye Transfer Cleaner.

Does this work any different than Leather Master Ink Away? And what brand Hairspray? Though I have heard so many mixed reviews on hairspray.

Woolite & water. 8 to 1 or 6 to 1 if it needs more power.

I will give this a try today. Is it safe to use the method on the entire seat? Just follow up with Conditioner right?

Just the transfer is probably the only area you need to hit (but I`ll let Rick reply with a more specific and experienced answer to your question).

I`m guessing these are coated leather, so you don`t need to use a conditioner. Just a protectant. If the conditioner is all you have on hand, if it has a UV protectant in it, go ahead and use it for the protection part...the conditioner part will do nothing.

I tried the Woolite Method as well as Leather Masters Ink Away and neither did NOTHING to remove the dye from seat. The black dye stain is still on the seats. Any other suggestions?

Did you ever try hairspray? Otherwise try the LM Dye Transfer Cleaner (or maybe someone on here in your area has some that you could try so you don`t have to buy a whole bottle)?
