Is this Orange Peel / Overspray correctable? - 03-14-2010, 12:09 PM

On a set of Jeep Wrangler hard doors. I hope you get the idea from these pics. It is very hard to capture it. It looks like the doors were re-sprayed at some point. The flaws look like they are heavy spray on 2 passes because they are very symetrical (like 2 wide swipes on each door). How can I tell if it is in the clear or the base?

you could do a wet sand and polish and see if it gets a bit better, but there are a couple things to consider ... it is a jeep and if the problem is in the prep of the repaint then you might be opening up a problem you may not be able to repair without stripping and repainting

I kinda thought that. I may hit it with some SSR3 and see if it helps at all.

you can probably make it smoother and have more reflection, but be careful if you don't know how much paint you have to deal with
