Some others can help you with that combo, I do not own and have never used a LC yellow pad so have no idea how it works.
When I repainted a fender that got damaged on my Corvette I wet sanded with 1500 then polished out the sanding marks with a LC Orange with Megs. M83 that is a much milder combo than what you are talking about.
Too aggressive will leave the surface needing a milder polish the goal should be to get the best gloss
WITHOUT removing more clear coat than necessary.
