It does add a few extra steps, but you can work it into your routine and for those vehicles which require the extra steps (time) just factor that into your quote.
Clean the material well. That will mean at least one extra step after the initial wash. Re-wash the trim pieces with a diluted APC solution. With textured trim as shown in your photos, use a soft bristled brush to reach all of the surface. You can even go an extra step, if necessary, by wiping down the trim with IPA. Dry the area and then apply your first trim product application. Now go forward with your polishing and waxing. Keeping an eye on the trim, if it appears to dry up then go ahead with another application. As your detail comes to an end, buff the trim and apply either your second or third application.
