Can't decide on leather care product...

My 2002 M3 leather seats are not in the best condition. There are several scuffs, shallow cuts, and lots of cracks. Especially on the driver's seat. They were fairly dirty as well.

I had some Lexol cleaner and conditioner wipes lying around, so I used those up today. The seats are somewhat cleaner, but not the "deep clean" that I want.

I can't decide what to get now that my (crappy) Lexol wipes are gone. Should I go with regular Lexol spray? Poorboy's? Duragloss? Or go all out with Leatherique?

I know nothing will correct the cracks and such, and the only leather repair I'm aware of at the moment is the Leatherique.

Leatherique FTW, fo sho.

Wipes suck in my personal experience, it's more economical to me to just buy some leather cleaner and use a MF towel on it, I feel that cleans it better.

I only use the leatherique every once in a while though, it's too expensive to use it all the time. I use some Meg's leather cleaner/conditioner for regular cleaning. But this stuff kinda sucks IMO, I want to find something better.

Most anything is going to be an upgrade from the wipes. IMO, the two-step dedicated cleaners/conditioners will always be the best option for anything other than a light maintenance touch-up.

I have and still use the following multi-step products:

• 4*
• Guardian
• Leatherique
• Lexol

Leather Masters also makes a product that receives high praise from its users.

A number of people (including me) use Woolite & Water (W&W) as a maintenance cleaner for their leather surfaces. One caveat is that you need to fully rinse the product from the surface to remove all residues.

Keeping the surfaces clean and free from spills, dust, dirt, etc. is the most important step of leather mainteance.

I'm going to say Leathique to get them back up to speed, its a long process meaning over night type of application. But the results are stunning IMO. You want to recondition the leather at this point, leatherique is one that will do a deep cleaning and the conditioner will breath back life into the leather. For maintaince you can use the leatheique or something like PB leather stuff.

As for the scuffs and small cracks and such no leather cleaner or conditioner is going to cure those, but after a good condtioning they will look a lot better.

The leathique web site has a big area on insturtions, and also leather OEM dyes if that's the way you go.
