Results From First Use Of Pb Trim Restore - 10-05-2008, 10:58 AM

My Ranger has grey fender flares and I have tried several products and all of them left me wanting better results.

After seeing the photos posted by Budman3 I ordered the Trim restore and applied it last night and just checked it this morning and it looks the best it ever has.

If it has any durability this stuff will be my go to product from now on.

Strange thing is I used it on the trim on the bumper and it didn't add any gloss maybe it is a different plastic.

just remember to leave it on as long as possible and then even bake in the sun...finally..thoroughly buff with a cotton (not microfiber) towel

Since my post this morning I used it on my bed liner.

I did the part that laps out over the top bed rail I have a tonneau cover so the rest of it don't show so just soap and water is all I use on it.

The trim restore worked very well on the bed liner but it does nothing to the trim on the bumper.

I had another product on the bumper but it has been a long time since it was applied so I don't know if that is a problem.

I think tomorrow I will clean the bumper trim and try the trim restore again.

I ordered three gallons of S&W and a gallon of S&G so I bought the trim restore to try.

If I don't manage to get good results on the bumper I will use it on all the rest because I like the looks after applying it.

Get over it and move on.

One of the things I have found with Trim Restore is that badly faded or grayed trim may need mutiple applications. I had been using Mother's Back to Black, yet it did not last very long. Trim Restore penetrates the trim and after several applications, made it look a very deep black.

it is possible that the previous product has sealed the bumper trim and might need a thorough scrubbing first

THANKS Steve. I will give it a try gotta be a reason why it works so good on everything else and don't do anything on the bumper.

Would a Iso Alcohol wipe be OK.
I don't think soap and water will take it off.

I done the bumper again today and I used more trim restore and rubbed it in good with a cotton towel.
It now looks great I just had to work it in because of the other product that was on the bumper.

I also did the door handles and mirrors boy they look great. I'm not going to drive the truck for a while so I will wait a few days then buff.
