Wheel Care 06 Ford Mustang Pony package - 08-31-2007, 05:53 PM

Hello All!

Just wanted to get some opinions on what you would recommend to use on the wheels on my wife's car. They are a painted aluminum. The car only has 5000 miles on it and they are in great condition. I would like to keep them that way. I have the poor boys spray and rinse wheel cleaner.

Thanks

You will probably want to dilute the Spray and Rinse. It is pretty strong. I would recommend some Poorboy's wheel sealant. After a couple coats of that, regular soap and water will clean the wheels.

Another vote for PB's WS. I have a summer and winter set of wheels and tires. Before each season, I clean the wheels very well and apply 3 coats of WS. I haven't had any problems with stubborn brake dust since and 3 coats seem to last the entire season. As a side note, I have been running a Stoptech big brake kit for the last two seasons. They produce a lot of extra heat and dust and the WS still holds up.

I love WS, I use it all the time, I find that with that on there, and with regular washings I never need any chemicals to remove the brake dust, I just you the car wash soap and it comes off super easy.

I like beer. On occasion I will even drink a beer to celebrate a major event such as the fall of communism or the fact that our refrigerator is still working.

Thanks to All!

It looks like the WS wins. I need to check out the sponsors and see has the best deal.

Thanks Again.
