Washing Microfiber towels?? - 10-09-2006, 12:22 PM

Hi guys,

I don't know if this is true or not but I heard that it's good to white vinegar during the rinsing phase when you are washing your microfiber towels?

If so, how much white vinegar should I put? If this is BS then let me know too. Thank you all for the inputs.

If you do a search I'm sure you'll find several threads discussing this. Many people do use white vinegar in the rinse cycle, myself included. I typically use 1/2 cup. I put it in one of those "Downy balls" which are typically used for fabric softener so that I don't have to sit around waiting for the rinse cycle.

I always do a double rinse and on the second rinse I add the White vinegar. It will remove lime and calcium deposits from the water making them softer.

I do the same thing! I wash with the microfiber detergent and then do a second rinse with 1/2 cup of vinegar.

Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?"
Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."
