Talking What`s the best way to clean Windows...

Windows are the last item to be cleaned before you give the car back to your customer. But its important to clean them good because the that is what most of my customers look at first when they get their car back.

I use SprayWay glass cleaner. I received it free when I bought my orbital from sparkleauto.com. It works well along with a microfiber towel. I work hard to clean the windows, but it can be a pain when you get vinyl conditioner or wax on them.

But how does everyone else clean their windows and what products do you use? Do you agree that that is the first thing customer`s notice when they get back their car.

I use SprayWay as well. The only downside is that if the glass is not extremely cool, your in for a world of hurt.

I will not clean a window if its hot you are in for a lot of work.

I use Megs` 10/1 glass cleaner and it works well. Spray it on to a MF towel and wipe that window down then buff with a dry MF towel. It should not be hard to get the dressing off this way.

But to make sure are you applying the dressing by using a foam or cottin pad, and spraying on the pad then appling to the dash, doors, etc. This can help with not getting the dressing all over the place. Like the windows

A tiny bit of Spray and Wipe with a mf cloth on a hot or cold window will leave it clean and streak free...

I would agree, as I tried that on the exterior windows.

Any problems using on the inside tinted windows Steve?

    not at all.....
the only tinted ones I`d worry about any time are the aftermarket stuff...I have actually had a product meant for those, but I didn`t see a market for it...

I wish you would have come out with S & W about 3 years ago. Then I could have just thrown all my other sh## away, not bought a ton of new stuff, and bought a truckload of S & W instead!

You need to come out with a companion product call S & W Sealant......... then i can really unload some stuff!

Since Ive switched to Mirco Fiber towels I use them for everything including windows.

I find that with a clean fresh MF towel that it doesnt really matter which brand of window cleaner I use. The results with MF are outstanding on windows.

The MF towels make cleaning glass easier and there are no streaks afterwards. I use whatever window cleaner I get a good deal on and I use MF everytime and the results are always great. I do this with every car every day.

    Best regards,
    John

I use water, or invisible glass, on a wet microfiber, and buff clean with a huck towel. No matter what microfiber vender I try, they all seem to lint on windows.

I use Anthony`s blend with DeNatured Alcohol, love it. First spray glass, then wipe window with a plastic bug sponge, (I find that your hand simply can`t get around the corners well, which is where dirt builds up, the sponge will form to the contour of the frame of window. then I wipe with a surgical towel. spray again finish with a MF towel. Done.

Does the sprayway glass cleaner contain amonia? I believe they sell a couple varieties of the glass cleaner.

No amonia................. and it`s an excellent glass cleaner. I like it better than Stoners IG. The only thing I don`t like about the SprayWay, is the spray that the can puts out. It really throws a powerful spray that goes all over the place. You need to keep the sprayer close to the windows. Still, it`s a great glass cleaner.
