    Can my spoiler be fixed?

Obviously the paint (and the car in general) has been neglected by the previous owner.

Can these spots on my spoiler be fixed and if so how would I go about doing it? What products would I need to buy? I have a PC to use.

    Thanks

Only way that can be fixed is by reclearing it. The clear is failing/has failed. I would just take it to a chop and have the spoiler repainted. It should not cost more than $50-$100 depending on where you take it to.

yep, you`re losing your clearcoat. Had that happen to my 1990 car on it`s spoiler too (odd ain`t it that it`s the spoiler).

I concur That is a prime example of "Extreme Clear Coat Failure"

You will need to wet sand the surface smooth as a babies behind, and then re-clear the spoiler.

looking at the amount of damage you already show you might as well have the wing sanded down to the primer level repainted and cleared. This step would get rid of any discolorization from where the clear has peeled and where it has not, if you look closely where the clear is gone the pain color has already faded to a light pink, so you are in to a paint failure stage also.

    Sorry Dude

Its ok.. I`m selling the car when my 06 Cobalt arrives so I was just hoping there was a way I could fix it when i gave the whole care a detail.

    Thanks for the insight.

You might be able to polish it to minimize the appearance of the oxidation (it`s pretty severe oxidation BTW) with some 2.5, but if you`re selling the car you should probably just leave it the way it is so the buyer knows what they`re getting into.

Giving a test drive to anyone with car any knowledge should let them know the adventure they`re getting into lol.
