Original metalic gold paint !!!

Clayed, washed, and then degreased all door jambs ...
Degreased engine and dressed with Dealers Choice water based dressing...
Polished aluminum valve covers with mothers chrome and aluminum polish and 0000 steel wool...
Paint buffed with Megs DACP and a few area with diamond cut (rotary). Waxed with AM's EZ-Paste wax.
All exterior chrome and wheels cleaned and polished with Mothers C&A polish.
Interior ... Leather cleaned with Megs APC 10:1 and conditioned with Lexol. Interior completely blown out and vacuumed prior to extraction and cleaned with Megs APC 4:1. The interior was dressed with Stoners Trim Shine...

OMG!! WHAT IS THIS? Please tell me it's rust or something not removable before I have a heart attack!! (j/k )

It's incredible - have you been caring for this car for a while or is this a revival?

That looks great! My neighbor has a 79 SL450 we're trying to clean up by next weekend, he's giving it to one of his sons. It's not the origonal paint, yet doesn't have a clear coat, so we've got tons of work ahead of us. Is a clay bar safe for non-clear coat paint jobs?

the whole car looks terrific!

as anon professional the thing that stands out to me is the grille and the front bumper. i see the dings but the metal really impressed me on those shots. having a black truck with a lot of added chrome i look for things like that. if i owned that car i would be very happy with your work

I think it's left over from removing the old "sound-proofing" material?

Great job, Dean!!

Don't it always seem to go, you don't know what you've got til it's gone?

cwcad,

Good eye !!! The bumper has been replaced since the detail !!!

As for the sound proofing under the hood that was also replaced.

dalmore,

Car was not a transformation, but about 5 years overdue for a good full detail. Paint really came back to life easily. DACP to the rescue once again !!!

groebuck,

My main man !!! Check your PM's this week. A friend of mine was so impressed with the avatar you did for me that he asked if you are available to create a website for him ???
