Ok just how many hours do all of us spend on taking care of our pride & joy?

Well, I dont have a car yet, nor my license.

Once I get my car, expect 1-2 hours a day.

My normal weekend cleanup will cover 5 easy (3 cars). If I do anything other than wash/QD, time increases.

8 TO 10 hours a week, more when race season starts.

I go for 3 - 5 hours because I wash both cars once a week whether they need it or not. Sometimes they are just dusty but that doesn`t matter. :D Sometimes more and sometimes less but I`d say 3 hours is about average for me. I spend 20 - 30 hours a week on other peoples` cars, however. Only in the months between April and November, though.

Talk about stress. Sometimes I say that I want to get a "beater" that I don`t have to worry about. But my wife won`t let me. She knows any beater will quickly become a show car and the cycle will start all over again!

This is what happened to the last beater:

I`m starting to get lazy. I now only detail maybe 2 or 3 hours a week. And this mostly consists of quick detailing and cleaning the rims every other day. In fact, I haven`t even washed my car in two weeks and its a daily driver that sees the elements 24/7.

As I approach the big 50 my detailing time has decrease. Because I drive a company car to work my ultra-detailed car (Z28) spends most of it time in the garage and requires only minor detailing if any each week. The workhorse (LS400) which my wife drives requires the other 2.5 hrs/wk.

I am getting to old or lazy for black cars. :)

Every so often when I really do the wheels, interior dressings well and add a coat of sealant closer to 4.

I guess 3 hours a week isn`t that bad afterall.

Well if I had your cars, I`d be detailing "Too many" hours as well. Nice cars!

I think now that the warmer temps are starting to arrive I need to adjust my original time from 3-5 hrs to over 5. See what you guys have done to me. :xyxthumbs

On average 11 hours total for the Arnage & Continental. All the other cars are in the garage/showroom and barely get driven out - unless a customer wants to test drive one.
